For BMW car owners, removing the USR system can solve the following issues:
- increase motor power,
- reduce fuel consumption

When disposing of the device in question, it is often advised to also remove the particulate filter . This recommendation is due to the fact that after we drown out the USR, the content of oxidized nitrogen in the exhaust gases will increase, and the particulate filter as a part of the exhaust system will clog quite quickly and stop working.
As a result, the power of the power unit will decrease, there will be a strong oil consumption and fuel consumption. All this will significantly reduce the life of the engine, which will lead to serious damage. Getting rid of the particulate filter, simultaneously with the same EGR operations, will immediately prevent the occurrence of the above problems.
The benefits of removing the USR and the particulate filter include:
- Motor power is increasing. Now it is not limited in anything under discussion. It also excludes engine start-up in emergency mode. BMW power in this way can immediately be increased up to 25%.
- Fuel consumption is more economical. The absence of a particulate filter negates the processes of active regeneration. The exhaust system works more simply, the engine no longer needs to spend efficiency on its resistance.
- The service life of the motor is increased, and the likelihood of repair is reduced. Also, the power unit becomes clean and tidy, which also increases its power - due to the lack of soot on the elements of the USR.
- Engine oil leaks are no longer visible, and oil is already consumed within reasonable limits.
- No need to spend money on the purchase of expensive equipment. For example, for installing a new diesel particulate filter, the owner is not forced to pay a tidy amount, but simply remove this filter and then do not bother with its maintenance.
It is impossible to physically remove the EGR valve without flashing. Everything works only in the system. However, it was noticed that some BMW owners are eager to save money, and perform these operations literally “on their knees”. But most often this approach leads to negative results: failures occur in electronic systems, and the machine refuses to obey its owner.
