DMTL - Diagnostics of fuel tank systems using a leak diagnostic module, installed on BMW cars supplied to the American market.

Quite often, BMW owners brought from America are faced with a constant error in the system for collecting vapor from a fuel tank. Often, the problem is a clogged absorber, as a result - the vacuum in the tank and the fuel pump does not have enough power to pump fuel, which in turn leads to a decrease in the car's power. Most often during diagnostics, the error sounds like “Faulty DMTL (fuel tank leakage module)”, “Fuel tank ventilation system”, etc. and has a code of 2a17, 2A16 or the like.

We reprogram the engine ECU, after which the machine “forgets” that it has this system.

It is possible to disable the function remotely , if you have a certain cable for communication with the machine (for E-series ICOM cable or (in some cases) d-can, for F-series cable ENET), as well as a laptop and the Internet.
