BMW Remote Engine Start is a standard feature that allows you to start the car with the key or the myBMW app, allowing you to warm up the engine and warm or cool the interior without entering the car. In the factory configuration, this feature is designated by the code 1CR.
What is Remote Start for?
- in winter, warm up the interior and make it easier to clear ice from the windows;
- in summer, cool the car with air conditioning;
- start the air conditioning system in advance;
- use the standard autostart without installing a third-party alarm system;
- warming up the engine to normal temperature before starting to move
What are the conditions for activating this option?
- The vehicle must have a gasoline engine. Activation is currently not possible on vehicles with diesel engines.
- Your vehicle must be equipped with the BDC3 system.
How to activate 1CR?
